The Chitwan national park is situated in southwestern Nepal and covers 932 sq. km. This is Nepal’s first famous national park for wildlife safaris. You can see wild elephants; white-footed gaur (the world’s largest wild cattle), leopards, wild boar, sloth bear, and several species of deer including the spotted, barking, sambar, and hog deer.
It is the home of the one-horned rhinoceros and harbors one of the largest populations of the exclusive and rare Royal Bengal tigers. The swampy areas and numerous oxbow lakes are perfect for marsh crocodiles. The park hosts 450 species of birds. The Tharu people have unique cultural traditions. In Chitwan, there are many hotels inside and outside of the park. Usually, visitors spend 3 days and 2 nights, but staying longer is possible if you desire.
How to get to Chitwan National Park,
From close to Thamel, every day Tourist bus departs for Chitwan early morning at 7 am. We have to be at the bus station at 6:30 in the morning, it takes about 5 hours to drive to Chitwan National Park. From the Chitwan Bus station, our Hotel provides you with a pick-up service to get to the hotel.
Chitwan National Park 2N 3D Budget Tour itinerary:
Day 01: Drive to Chitwan national park for about 5 hours.
Drive to Chitwan National Park by Tourist Bus for about 5 hours, receive from Chitwan Bus station, and check in Hotel and lunch. After lunch starts our program with making sightseeing tour (visiting Tharu village, Elephant stable, Visitor Center, and Sunset viewpoint) and staying overnight at Hotel. Culture program (Tharu stick dance) or next evening.
Day 02: Activities in Chitwan.
Wake up call and have breakfast after breakfast start our day with a Canoeing ride and visit the Elephant breeding center. Or (Canoeing (35min) and Jungle walk 2 to 3 hours.) After lunch, Elephant Safari stays overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: After Breakfast Drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara.
Wake-up call, Bird watching, and breakfast, and after breakfast, the hotel will make transport arrangements to get a bus station and drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara.
