    After Breakfast, Full day sightseeing in the KTM World Heritage site, with a Historical City Guide, and stay overnight at Kathmandu Hotel. (1350 meters)

    Swayambhunath also known as Monkey Temple:
    Swayambhunath is an ancient Chaitiya of Asia and a major symbol of Nepal’s Buddhist heritage, Swayambhunath represents Primordial Buddha or Adi-Buddha.

    Pashupatinath Temple:
    The famous Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath is located by the bank of the Bagamati River where all Hindu cremation takes place. A magnificent golden-roofed temple with four cardinal silver doors the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

    Bouaahanath Stupa:
    Bouddhanath is an important Buddhist pilgrimage and heritage site in Nepal. The story and history mention that this Stupa contains relics of Buddha Kashyapa, with 176 miniature stupas and paintings of Tibetan Buddhist pantheons covering the walls that surround the Stupa at Bouddhanath. Bouddhanath Stupa is an important pilgrimage site for Tibetans which is mentioned in Tibetan classical texts such as Biography of Yeshe Tshogyal (A.D. 8-9) and Padma Ka’thang (A.D.14).

    Kathmandu Old Durbar Square (Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square).
    Kathmandu's old Durbar square with ancient Malla and Shah dynasty palace includes a visit to Kumari Temple nearby where the Living Goddess “Kumari” resides, a tour of the famous Khastamandap temple where Kathmandu got its name, as Khastamandap meaning temple built from wood of a single tree.

    After breakfast, we will drive to Halesi Temple, located in eastern Nepal. It is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Buddhists. The drive will take about 7 to 8 hours, winding through the countryside of Nepal.

    Arriving in Halesi, check in at the hotel and enjoy refreshments. Then, have tea and coffee at the hotel and visit the local village. Late evening we will join regular worship (Arati Puja) at Halesi temple Ground. Stay overnight in Halesi at the hotel.

    Wake up early in the morning and visit Halesi Temple and Monastery. We will explore the local worship practices at Halesi Temple and visit Halesi Cave and the Buddhist Monastery. After experiencing these wonderful sites, we will return to the hotel for breakfast. Then, we will drive north from Halesi toward Jaleshwori, which is home to the Tamang, Rai, Newar, and Sherpa communities.

    We will embark on a newly opened track that offers a challenging driving journey through local villages. However, we will travel in a 4-wheel Jeep to make our experience more comfortable. These rural areas provide a genuine glimpse into the local way of life, connecting us to our modern world.

    Upon arriving at Jajeshwori village, we will stay in a very basic local house or tented camp. This is the best way to experience authentic local life in such a remote corner of Nepal. The drive from Halesi to Jaleshwori takes approximately 6 to 7 hours.

    Leisure Day, After two days of driving, today we'll hike around the local village to experience the local way of life, including visits to schools and nearby communities. It’s a great opportunity to see how people in this remote area live.

    We will have a great opportunity to taste authentic local food. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided in local style.

    After breakfast today, we will drive to Junebesi. Our route will take us through local villages and across the Dudh Kosi River, which flows from Mount Everest. As we travel north, we will enjoy excellent views of the Sher Himalayan Peaks, which rise like a long wall. On clear days, we can also see Numbur Himal, Kyashar Peak, and Mount Everest also be visible.

    We will be driving through the capital of the Solukhumbu District, which includes Salley, Phaplu, and Junebesi. As we enter a predominantly Buddhist region, we will notice signs of the Buddhist culture, including monasteries, mani walls, and stupas along the route. This is a wonderful way to experience and embrace the Buddhist kingdom.

    The drive from Jaleshwori to Junebesi takes approximately 7-8 hours. Although it's a long drive, the journey offers beautiful landscapes and scenery along the way. Upon arriving in Junebesi, you can check into the Comfort Lodge, which has a variety of menu options. This area is well-known as a trekking route to Everest Base Camp via Jiri.

    Jiri to Everest Base Camp trekking route has its own significance and history. Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa used this route during their Everest expedition in early 1953.

    Side trip to the Thupten Choling Buddhist Monastery Tibetan Refugee Camp and return to Junebesi.

    After breakfast, we will embark on our journey to the Thupten Choling Buddhist Monastery, which is situated at the foot of Mount Numbur. The hike to the monastery will take about 3 to 4 hours, with a 2 to 3-hour return trip. Visiting the Thupten Choling Buddhist Monastery is the highlight of our trip.

    Entering a Buddhist monastery is a wonderful and peaceful experience, especially when a monk is chanting. After enjoying this serene worship, visit the nearby Tibetan refugee settlements.

    We will hike back to Junebesi Village via the same trail and spend the night at Junebesi Village.

    After waking up late, and having a late breakfast, drive to Dhap for about 4 hours along the Sagarmatha Highway, passing through the district headquarters of Phaplu and Salleri.

    Dhap is a wonderful place to view Mount Everest. In clear weather, a fantastic view of Numbur, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest is visible from Dhap.

    We will stop overnight in Dhap for a final view of Everest and the Khumbu Himalayan Peaks. In Dhap, there are reasonably good hotels and lodges available for overnight stays.

    After breakfast, we will drive to Kathmandu, finally saying goodbye to the Khumbu Himalayas. We will drive through local villages, following the Sunkosi River toward the bustling city of Kathmandu about a 7-8 hours drive.

    Upon arriving in Kathmandu, we check into a well-facilitated hotel to relax after a week-long tour of rural Nepal.
