    A representative from Visit Himalaya Treks with the company’s display board will greet you outside the arrival terminal and transfer you to your Hotel. The trek leader will meet the group for a meeting and provide a detailed briefing on the trek. All the required information regarding Baruntse Expedition trip would be provided.

    A half day guided tour to several of historical and spiritual attractions enlisted under the World Heritage Sites or check up climbing gears and Trip preperation.

    An early morning scenic flight to Lukla (30 minutes) is followed by a leisurely breakfast at Lukla. We meet up with our crew and after a brief introduction and a quick sorting of our daypack and the main bags, our adventure starts. The path goes into the valley towards the left into the more quieter valley and passes through small tea shops and passes the small settlement of Chutok. The trail ascends from the very beginning from Lukla and undulates briefly at some places during the day. The day’s trek ends at a small village of Chutanga. (2 hours)

    The day is spent on an easy hike to gain an altitude of more than 500-600 meters and then a free afternoon to rest follows. This day is very important as the trek quickly enters into higher altitudes of more than 4000 meters on the very next day.

    The trek enters further into the valley ascending all the time and enters the alpine vegetation leaving the tree line behind. The path reaches the end of the valley below the Zatra La. A steep ascent leads to the top of the pass and an equally steep descent follows. The descent ends at Thuli Kharka, a small flatland with a couple of Teahouses. (6 hours)

    The trail briefly drops and yet again steadily starts to climb to the top of another small pass. A steep descent slowly leads back into vegetations and passes through thinner forests that start to grow thicker with the drop in the elevation. The drop ends as the trek enters the Hinku valley and then undulates through forests of Pine and Bamboo. At the end of the forest, another small settlement with a couple of Teahouses marks the end of the day. The village also provides the first glimpse of the Mera Peak. (6 hours)

    The trek continues to move further into the valley following the river closely and passes through the yak pasturelands used in the summer. The trail continuously and gradually keeps ascending and passes a spiritual cave monastery on the way. The ascent finally ends at Thangnak. There are few hikes available around afternoon that will further more enhance the process of acclimatization. The hikes also provide views of the Kusum Kanguru (6367 meters), Kyashar (6,769 meters), Mera La and other peaks of the Hinku Valley. (4hours)

    The trek now travels on a rocky trail and keeps ascending towards Mera Peak. After a good climb in the morning the trail reaches the grassy areas of Dig Kharka, another yak pastureland. Once again, the trail ascends into the higher elevation and finally ending at the last settlement of the trek, Khare. (3 hours)

    The day will be used to get into the glacier and acclimatize to the higher altitude. Also, the climbing guide will provide a brief training on climbing and also will introduce all the gears going to be used during the climb. The training is to introduce you to the basics of mountaineering and also to build up your confidence so that you can enjoy the climb.

    The day will be another day full of ascending but this time, it is on the glacier. In the morning after a good hour or so of climbing, the trail passes by a small tea-shop, the final teashop before the summit of Mera Peak (6476 meters). A gradual walk finally on an easier slope through the glacier follows after a steep ascent. The slope continues until the Mera La and the trail will drop a bit to reach the campsite. (4 hours)

    The trek to Seto Pokhari is quite a comfortable trail with Chamlang and Baruntse visible for most of the day. The trail stays almost flat and quietly gains altitude of a couple of hundred meters at the end of the day at Seto Pokhari. (5 hours)

    Another short day trek ends the day at Amphu Laptsa Base Camp. A good rest is a must as the trek crosses one of the most technical pass in the following day. (2 hours)

    The trail climbs through huge sections of rocks and ices and only ends at the top. A steep drop from the top leads into the Chukkung valley. continue walk toward to Chhukhung via Island Peak Base Camp overnight at Chhukhung. (8-9 hours)

    The day starts with the trail descending down to the valley passing Dingboche on the way and a brief climb afterward leads to the village of Hortse. After Hortse, the trek continues on the same path taken during the way up. The days trek ends at Thyangboche. (5-6 hours)

    Staying on the busy Everest trail, the trek heads towards Namche via Kyangjuma . On the way down from Namche Bazaar.Namche Bazaar is beautiful sherpa town known by gate way of mount Everest and Khumbu Valley stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.

    On the way down from Namche, we take a last look at the Everest and merrily continue the trek down to river. The exit from the Sagarmatha National Park and a brief drop leads to the village of Monju village. We trek back to Lukla via through bigger village of Phakding and finally end the trek at Lukla. We also bid farewell to our support crew and formally end their trek for them as well. (5  hours)
