The trail gradually drops into the Dudh Koshi Valley and passes through the lovely Sherpa villages of Chauri Kharka, Cheplung, then undulates through villages of Thado Koshi, Ghat, and finally arrives at Phakding. First views of Kusum Kanguru (6367 meters) can be viewed at Thado Koshi just before a small climb at Thado Koshi. During the day and in most of the other days on the trek, we follow the Dudh Koshi river and pass through couple of suspension bridges and several mani walls, mani stone, chorten, stupas and prayer flags with snow capped mountains in the background. Everest Three Passes 2nd Time With Visit Himalaya Treks

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE TRIP!! Couldn’t thank Visiting Himalayas enough for helping us organise such an incredible trek to the Everest Region. Himal was prompt with replies and was very reliable! He made our trip effortless and very smooth!!! This was my partner and my second trip with this company to Nepal! We trekked for 18 days in the Everest Region, successfully completed the three passes with our guide Aila & porter Som Kuma. This was our second trek with Aila and we couldn’t be any happier!! Aila is an incredible guide, he was able to provide such a fun and safe experience. He was so knowledgeable about the area and answered MANY of our questions. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and we will be defiantly coming back soon!
Trip Duration - October 26 - November 13 - 2024.

Everest Three Passes Trek.

Dear Himal;   sorry for my delayed response - the home front took center stage when I returned!  Bikram did a very good job.  He took excellent care of me.  He walked together with me.  He ensured I was comfortable during the halts along the route.  Safe to say, that without Bikram, I could not have done this trek!!  I have no hesitation in recommending him for other trips.  Indeed: I would be happy to go with him on my next trek - after Dasain festival 2081.

Fantastic service, highly recommend Visit Himalaya Treks!
My daughter and I recently completed a 23 day “Everest Three Passes” trek in the Himalayas. In addition, I was in Kathmandu for 7 days. I was extremely pleased with Visit Himalaya Treks’ service and advice. Visit Himalaya Treks provided us with a Trekking Guide and Porter, arranged for our permits, provided transportation to and from Lukla and a City Guide – all for what I thought was a very reasonable price. They also referred us to an excellent hotel in Kathmandu (Hotel Holy Himalaya).

We had some “bumps in the road” on this trip (delayed luggage, flight delays to Lukla) but Visit Himalaya Treks worked hard to smooth them out for us. The Trekking Guide and Porter were great. Very knowledgeable (the Guide knew the name and elevation of every mountain I asked about, often he knew the elevation in both meters and feet); happy to modify our itinerary as we desired; always willing to stop when we wanted to take a picture and/or to take a picture of us; allowed us to set the walking pace and never rushed us.

I was especially impressed with the prompt and comprehensive responses I received to the numerous emails I sent prior to arriving in Nepal. If I could give them six stars I would do it. They were fantastic. October - 2019.

Everest Three Passes Trek

We (my wife and me) have just done the 21 day Everest 3 High Pass trek,April 28th 2011 to May 19th 2011. The views were fantastic, clear skies and panoramic views of the Himalaya's. An especially perfect day when we crossed the Khongma –LaPass (5335m) which we enjoyed very much and we have to say thank you to Himal (owner of the Visit Himalaya Treks) and also our great guide Rajan and porter Tilachan who were both very supportive and professional throughout the whole trip. We appreciated their smiling faces and friendliness each day. Rajan seemed to have a very good relationship with all of the lodge owners and staff which made us comfortable. The trek was exactly what was described at a fair price. We are very happy to recommend to use Visit Himalaya Treks to all of you. Keith & Ellen Cooper. May - 2011

FAQs

We always try to be flexible to design the trip itinerary for our client’s needs. However, if you are not convinced as our suggested itinerary then off-course you are always welcome to customize or change the trip itinerary.

Holiday should never be about making it to the final point quickly. Along your trek, we can add days at your request with additional costs to cover guides, porters, accommodation, and food.

An average physical fitness should be maintained prior to booking a trek. Any sort of illness or recent medical problems should be mentioned while booking a trip. Most of our itineraries are prepared to give you maximum time to acclimatize and pace-setting on the treks would be done according to your convenience. If you are having regular medication then tell us before the trip started which would be better for us to give you the physical feedback.

Our main concern is your safety. We never compromised on your safety during the Trekking and all our guides are properly trained and well equipped to take care of our client's safety even in remote areas as well.

There would be always back support in case of an emergency situation like severe high-altitude sickness or accident (which is least expected), you will be sent to the nearest hospital, if possible, otherwise rescued by a helicopter and sent you to the hospital as soon as possible. Since you are entirely liable for all the expenses incurred for the use of such emergency services, please make sure that your travel insurance covers both- medical and emergency evacuation costs.

It is not a problem at all because in a mountain most of the tea houses/lodges serve vegetarian food as well and our guide will take care at the time of cooking and on a camping trek, our cook and staffs will care all about the food section.

Most of the lodges in the mountains are basic like a guest house or tea house style. In a few major settlements Lodges are upgraded, where are the possibilities we provide you with the best accommodation! Also, it depends upon the service packages.

Lately, most of the teahouses have electricity supply even with solar panels. So, charging your gadgets is not a problem at all. But charging your battery you should have to pay an additional fee (US$ 1 to 3 approx. per hour.), in order to get your gadgets to be charged.

Now a day’s most of the major village has a cell phone network connection. However, in a remote area where cell phone does not work, and even if there is not any other communication access then we send satellite phone along with our guide so you can easily be in touch with your family.

Yes, either you can store at the same hotel as you stayed or we can store your goods with us safely in our office free of cost.

The luggage must not exceed up to 20 kilograms. A trekking helper (porter) carries baggage of fewer than 20 kilograms. This bag can be received at the end of each day’s trek and you should carry the rest of the weight as a day bag with all your money and valuables inside it.

This is a difficult thing to gauge. We have seen everything from USD 25 to USD 900 per person for guides and porters. Tipping is not required, but a small gesture of thanks to your guides and local porters. The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide. However, we recommend you to spend a minimum of 10% of your total trip cost for tipping the entire local staff.
